The mysterious writer Elena Ferrante set some chapters of her worldwide bestseller on Ischia; and on Ischia the film director Saverio Costanzo shot several scenes of the TV fiction based on that novel. The journalist Pasquale Raicaldo documented, by shooting a series of pictures, a simple and genuine Ischia island from the past, set up for the movie set.
On the other hand, from Riccardo Carbone’s photograph Archive come vintage pictures depicting a different Ischia, i.e. the society and luxurious one. Both kinds of Ischia harmoniously cohexisted at that time.

Misterioso mediterraneo (Mysterious Mediterranean). Painting exhibition by Militina Loginova
For the first time, Militina Loginova arrived at Ischia in 2014; since that time the island captured her soul so that she started exploring it up to the deepest levels. In fact, she considers Ischia one of the most beautiful places in the world. By discovering the island in its natural richness and cultural diversity, the painter achieves her creative comprehension of life: her feelings express themselves through fine strokes of brush portraying nature or abstract themes performed in one go. "This is love", so Militina about her relationship with the island, of Ischia, able to quench her thirst of creativity and search for emotional balance. The never ending life movement and the perpetual motion of this artist blend and create a new imagine of the world, dominated by beauty and harmony. Colour purity and richness harmonize with her attention to details inspired by her attraction towards single segments; as a result, the portrayed landscapes enjoy a deep and intense dimension. In her graphic works the artist succeeds in getting a special image poetry and expressiveness thanks to her expert use of lines and colour sketches. Simplicity and elegance, sharpness and complexity in the nuance development, and composition balance give Militina Loginova’s graphic landscapes the value of all-round and thought-out works. Her paintings are transcribed from nature and transfer the space energy in which they were conceived. In the natural landscapes of different countries, both in paintings and graphics, the artist experiences the world art culture and shows her acute observation of environmental light-air effects. Thanks to her approach it is possible to create everytime a unique landscape imagine with the individual hallmark of the world perspective where it was conceived.
Militina Loginova is a member of Artisti della Russia (Russian Artists), Associazione Internazionale dell'UNESCO (UNESCO International Association), Amici russi in Italia (Russian Friends in Italy) and Amici di Ischia (Ischia’s Friends). In 1995 she graduated at Scuola d'arte Nizhny Novgorod (Art School Nizhny Novgorod) and in 2001 graduated at Università Pedagogica (Pedagogic University). Her art exhibitions take place both in Russia and abroad. Furthermore, her works are included in private collections in Russia, Italy, UK, France, Principality of Monaco, Finland, Canada, Luxembourg, Turkey.

Composed by the Argentinian Alejandro Tomás Rodriguez, the French Robin Gentien, and the French-American Pierre Lauth-Karson, this trio will play its latest CD “Si viene la muerte”, released in May.

The actor and self-taught guitarist Alejandro Tomás Rodriguez graduated in Art Theory and was central member of Open Program Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards directed by Mario Biagini (2007-2015). He also taught in several prestigious institutes in Europe, America amd Asia (Stanford University, University of Yale, York University, Shangai Theater Academy, A.R.T.A, University of New York, University of Toronto, Théâtre National de Bretagne). At present he is professor at the University of New Mexico, USA.
He is been playing a key-role in setting up Open Program’s shows: I am America, Electric Party Songs, Not History’s Bones – a Poetry Concert, The Nightwatch, The Hidden Sayings. Furthermore, he was art director of the theatre company Casa Talcahuano in Buenos Aires.
Robin Gentien is a Parisian musician, graduated in Philosophy. Leader and composer of several funk bands in Paris, he also played for African musicians such as Fatou Yakar (Senegal) and Ousmane Kalil Kouyate (Guinea). When in Paris, he was also a member of the blues duo Robespierre, along with the singer and harmonica player Pierre Lauth-Karson. Robin is a skilled guitarist able to mix groove, blues, Latin rhythm and West Africa nuances. When he joined Workcenter in Italy in 2012, he also started a profitable collaboration with Alejandro in the Workcenter shows, which he has been travelling all around the world more than four years with. Over time, this artistic mutual understanding developed beyond Workcenter too, by giving birth to ENGINE.Pierre Lauth-Karson is a French-American singer and harmonica player graduated in Audiovisual Translation. He learned to play harmonica with musicians like Greg Zlap, Pascal “Baco” Mikaelian and Sébastien Charlier. When in Paris, he also played for African musicians like Fatou Yakar and Ousmane Kalil Kouyate with Robin Gentien. He also played with the French songwriter Adrien Regard and is member of the gospel choir The Voice of Freedom. Despite his blues roots Pierre loves mixing harmonica with various musical styles. After sharing the stage with Robin in many projects, in November 2016 he joined ENGINE in Buenos Aires.

Workshop about the fundamental elements of the craft of acting through songs
Conducted by Alejandro Tomás Rodriguez,
assisted by Robin Gentien and Pierre Lauth-Karson
Over two days, participants will be involved in ancient Latin-American call and response songs. In the collective sessions of a cappella songs they will explore the living dynamics arising while singing, dancing and interacting each other. All members will be led towards the discovery of the ways their body and mind are involved.
This approach is based on some elements of acting. Initially, one will examine the basic principles of the action. Then participants will face simple but complex duties, such as: how repeating a series of actions, reactions and connections discovered during the sessions without losing one’s vital core?
Who can apply
The workshop is targeted at actors, dancers, musicians, students and whoever is interested in the role of performer; there are no age limits, and a previous professional experience is not compulsory.

Participants are to bring clothes for the singing sessions and the physical work. Detailed information will be sent later by email.
Rodriguez, Gentien and Lauth-Karson are carrying out several creative efforts which also include ENGINE, their original performance.

Dinamica Tai Chi Chuan e Arti Associate A.S.D. is affiliated to the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association (IYFTCCA ©) and offers traditional teaching
according to the method and teachings of the Grand Master Yang Jun, the 5th lineage holder of the Yang family, founders of the Yang style Tai Chi Chuan.
From 13 to 20 July 2019 highly qualified teachers offer free Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong lessons.
In the evening with the "literary aperitifs" possible to deepen the themes of "Taoists by chance" with experts in quantum physics, archeology, complementary medicine, literature, philosophy music.

Neapolitan culture expresses a constant acceptance of reality as it is, "in the here and now". In Taoist thought "here and now" means presence, a mind free from conditioning and judgment. This is the only way we can experience reality directly. So, day and night, life and death, good and evil, all the separations and dualities created by the conditioned mind leave space for the sense of unity and harmony present in every moment of life. Isn't this a vision capable of resolving the difficulties of everyday life in a harmonious way, favoring a balanced sense of well-being? Is this not the DNA of Neapolitan thought? The ancient Pythecusa, heir of the Greek civilization, a volcanic and fertile land rich in natural remedies for your health, represents the ideal place to undertake a path of well-being for the body and the spirit. In this suggestive scenario, we propose meditative and martial arts practice, such as Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong.
